How Does Sani-Rides Relate to S.T.E.A.M.?

There are many roller coaster sizes and styles, but Sani-Rides can easily be adapted to fit them all, from the height and width of the structure to the angle of the spray nozzles. I looked at lawn irrigation systems and tent poles and wanted Sani-Rides to be something that could be adjustable to fit many roller coaster sizes and styles, so I incorporated adjustable structural pipes and adjustable nozzles.

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER

The Engineering behind Sani-Rides

Once I researched different components and designed the circuit, I put it all together and built a working hand sanitizer station.

All the technology you see here is used in the final prototype, but I wanted to engineer it on a small scale and test to see if everything worked correctly before applying it to the final prototype.

Engineering: About the Project

SANI-RIDES SPRAY NOZZLES

This nozzle design reaches a spraying span of 54 degrees so that the nozzles can spray and sanitize all parts of any coaster. This angle was chosen because, in my testing and evaluation, it seemed like this was the perfect range to hit a variety of sizes and shapes.
