SANI-RIDES

Good,  Clean,  Fun

WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

Sani-Rides

With the rise of COVID-19, and the reopening of world famous theme parks, riding a rollercoaster has gone from a normal, fun thing to do, to a daunting hustle. Will I get sick from others? Maybe I should skip my trip. Due to COVID-19, many theme parks have been cleaning their ride systems more often. It has been the workers’ responsibility to spray down the ride systems once every two hours, which completely shuts down the ride and takes up a lot of time. With Sani-rides, cleaning of the ride systems would be more frequent, more sanitary, and the guests would feel safer on the ride overall.

Sani-rides disinfects a rollercoaster vehicle after going through a lap on the track. The coaster vehicle will go through a portable “tunnel”, and this tunnel will spray the vehicle with sanitizing mist to clean the vehicle for the next group of guests. It is sensor-powered, and its dimensions are built specifically to the specific rollercoaster.

HOW IT WORKS

Sani-Rides works best on roller coasters that have separate drop off and load zones for passengers. After one group exits, the coaster progresses to the loading zone to pick up the next group of riders. And it is between drop off and loading zones where Sani-Rides works its magic.

As it travels, the coaster is recognized by a sensor. This sensor activates a pump which sends a pressurized cleaning solution up and through a series of tubes and pipes to angled spray nozzles positioned above the empty coaster. At the right pressure, these nozzles mist the cleaning solution (which is basically hand sanitizer on steroids) all over the roller coaster. By the time the coaster reaches the load zone to pick up the next group of riders, the solution is dry to the touch and the entire roller coaster is sanitized.
